When using a PC operating system, right clicking on an
image will allow you the option to save the image to your computer. You
should also save the other Word files to your computer if you plan to

Tips
for using the News Releases
NR1
Feel free to re-write this to fit your particular event, or to edit where
necessary. Most newspapers will publish this release with a black and
white photo. You may want to list the exact street address of the service
and a phone number to call for more information.
NR2
By mentioning the exact street address, and listing a phone number for
information, you may reach more people in the surrounding areas. If
you want to go "all out" in the publicity department, write
or call our office, we have other promotional materials and suggestions.
If you find you need more posters, bulletin inserts or other items,
feel free to write or call and ask for them. We will send them, or
you can photocopy any items you want. Thank you for your help.
NR3
Contact your local radio and cable TV stations for free advertising of
local church events! (See yellow pages) When preparing these news releases
for your local papers, you may want to send along a photo (enclosed)
or even re-type the release to fit your particular event. We find that
it is beneficial if you mention the exact street address of the service,
and list a phone number to call for more information.
