About Ken and His Ministry

Homemusiccontact

"My ministry in song is to share the joy and love of Jesus Christ. I want to encourage
every Christian in his/her daily walk with the Lord, and to lead people to the saving
knowledge of our Lord. It is my heart's desire always to serve and glorify Him through
this ministry of music and testimony."
Ken Fernald

Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD , all the earth.
Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.
Psalm 96: 1-2

About Ken Fernald

Ken has been given the title of "New England's Own Gospel Singer" by many who have heard him sing. He provides a message of hope and encouragement to the church. His music covers the great hymns of faith and the newer gospel favorites that minister to all age groups.

Ken brings joy to you whether in a concert, banquet, camp meeting, convention, or with one of his many albums. Ken's music is a full-time, inter-denominational ministry, in which he trusts in the Lord to meet his financial needs. His financial needs are met by churches taking a "love offering", and paying travel expenses.

Ken is now celebrating his 27th year singing for the Lord, and his 22th year of full time ministry.

What Others Say...

"Ken has an obvious musical talent and an unassuming, disarming manner which the Lord is free to use to minister to believers and non-believers alike. His music ministry conditioned our hearts for the presentation of the Word of God."

Rev. Everett Palmer
Ashland, NH

"I have known Ken Fernald for more than 20 years and have been greatly blessed by his life and ministry. Ken exhibits a great love for the Lord and is deeply concerned for those who do not know Jesus as Savior. I highly recommend Ken Fernald and his music ministry to you."

Rev. William Batson
Director, Family Life Ministries of New England

"I can honestly say that Ken Fernald has had a very special ministry in our fellowship.  Our people always look forward to Ken's ministry.  Ken's times with us have been encouraging and inspiring."

Rev. David Swensen
Winthrop Street Baptist Church
Taunton, Massachusetts

A Few Words From Ken About Himself

I like the water... I love to drive down to the ocean and spend time, anytime of the year. Just to hear the waves is so relaxing! Sometimes I just like to walk the beach too. I love to swim but don't do much of that now. Maybe that is why I like Boothbay Harbor, Maine so much! I used to sing there every summer for years.

Portsmouth, NH is nice too, that's where I live now. Since I live on the seacoast of New Hampshire people often ask, "Do you live near the water?" My response is that the only water near my house is in the basement...because it floods so often!

I am not a collector of any certain items like many of my friends. I do have a few ties. Many times people give me ties. I just got one last week in the mail from a friend in Westbrook, Maine. It has John 3:16 on it, beautiful! I have a few wind chimes, love to hear those ring. I have only bought one, then a friend from Dexter, Maine gave me some for my porch, along with some from a friend in Casco, Maine, and one young person made me a musical note wind chime many years ago.

I have always been a single man; yes I am still seeking the Lord for a wife! I do get tired of cooking and eating alone, but I love to cook! I end up going out at least once a week for a meal to a local restaurant; yes I have several favorites here in the area and some further away!

I LOVE CHOCOLATE!!! Of course I also love steak, lobster, etc. etc. etc. Have you ever had chocolate covered cranberries? Um...so good!

Speaking of goodies and cooking I have added a "favorite" cake recipe and
the frosting too of course, try making it sometime, I think you will like it. I call it Whoppie Pie Cake! Just my own nickname I guess.
